IMPORTANT TIPS FOR ANSWERING QUESTIONS




·         Write legibly with question number and sub divisions.
·          In Part-A, write the number of the option and then the corresponding.
·          Follow the required pattern of answers for Part-C.
·          Provide a title for all Part-C Questions.
·          In Part-C answer each question on a fresh page.

REPORT WRITING

·          Paragraph Date and time of the incident.
·         Paragraph It is necessary to highlight definition of the problem or state what the problem is.
·         Paragraph Causes and effects of the problems.
·         Paragraph Suggest remedies or solutions to the problems.
RECOMMENDATIONS – 10 POINTS

Verbs: It is suggested (or) It is recommended (or) It is emphasized.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION-10 POINTS
·         Write in Passive Voice.
·         Use Simple Present Tense.
·         Use sequence words like firstly,secondly,after,next,finally etc.
JUMBLED SENTENCES
·         Rearrange the sentence in order such as 5,9,1.
·     Later compile it into a paragraph.
PARAGRAPH WRITING
Only one paragraph with one main topic theme. Underline the topic sentence.
Underline Discourse markers.
TRANSCODING – CHARTS, DIAGRAM OR FLOWCHARTS
·         What kind of a chart? What is it about?
·         Use only prescribed method of decoding different charts as instructed.
·         Use logical connectives or discourse markers like: Talking about, Regarding, First of all, unless, incase, but, yet, although, despite, otherwise, while, on the other hand, etc and underline them.

CONVERSION TO DIAGRAMS
Use proper diagrams.
Label the axes.
In flowcharts use only phrases in the boxes.
Draw the charts using proper stationary. No freehand drawing.

GIVING INSTRUCTIONS
·          Use the direct imperative form.
Eg: Keep the lab clean.
·          Begin each step with an action word.
  Eg: Clean the table before and after use.
·          Number the steps and ensure the correct order.
·      Instruction should be clear, precise, accurate and logical.

NOTE MAKING
·         While making notes, after reading the passage, try to grasp the theme of the passage.
·         Make out the logical development of the ideas.
·         Arrange the ideas in the numbered sequence.
·         Use phrase, do not use full sentences while making notes.
